Education Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Education Director will be responsible for expanding Tropical Audubon Society’s (TAS) education and advocacy capacity by promoting a better understanding and appreciation of nature, the environment and ecological relationships among MDC residents, youth and local leaders, empowering them to become advocates for South Florida’s ecosystems. The Education Director will broaden engagement with MDC communities to enhance our organization’s advocacy impact via educational programming such as our flagship Tropical Audubon Ambassador Program (TAAP). The Education Director will also work in collaboration with education partners to implement bird biology and conservation programming for students, local families and youth from underserved communities. Tropical Audubon Society has created an ambitious, five-year strategic framework spanning 2021-2025, in which the Education Director will play a crucial role by implementing the Education Focal Area and supporting the framework’s advocacy components.
